Bush's Tax Cut Plan

By Laura Knoy on Tuesday, February 13, 2001.

President Bush is proposing a 1.6 trillion dollar tax cut over the next several years. Many Democrats agree that a tax cut could help the economy, but say Bush's plan is too big. Meanwhile, some Republicans are saying the cut's not big enough. Laura Knoy talks with Robert Bixby, Executive Director
of the Concord Coalition (www.concordcoalition.org) and Marty Reiser, Vice President
of Federal and State Campaigns with Citizen's for a Sound Economy (www.cse.org)
