Music as a Communal Activity and a Healing Process

Kathy Lowe is a musician, songwriter and photographer living in New London, NH. In recent years, she's followed an interesting musical path. In order to bring her audiences into the performance, she writes music she can teach to them, and passes out instruments to make each song a group activity. Her latest CD is called "No Separation."

Using chaos to improve the Net - and turn a profit

Kevin Short, who teaches mathematics at UNH, specializes in chaos theory. His research has led to a new method of data-compression that could make the Internet run much faster. His work in this field led to the creation of Chaoticom, a for-profit venture of UNH, to explore the commercial potential of Short?s research.
