Scooters For Commuters: The Future of Travel

Karl Ulrich is the president of Nova Cruz Products, a Dover company that makes "the Rolls Royce" of personal scooters. It?s called the "Xootr," and according to Ulrich, it has the potential to revolutionize commuting and urban transportation. He stopped by the Front Porch to talk about the Xootr, and let John take a test ride around the NHPR parking lot.

Bringing the Arts to the Handicapped

Rebecca Exley is director of Cultural Access for VSA Arts of New Hampshire, and its Cultural Access Initiative, which seeks to bring arts and cultural events to the disabled communities. Some of their strategies include audio description of art work, using balloons to create a physical experience of a musical performance, and other techniques.
