A Musician Steeped in New Hampshire's Folk Tradition

By John Walters on Wednesday, January 16, 2002.

Sarah Bauhan is the goddaughter of Newton Tolman, one of the pioneers of the country dance tradition in New Hampshire. As a child, she was given her first instument by another folk-dancing legend, Dudly Laufman. Since then she's carved out her own identity as a whistler and flutist, in and out of the Celtic tradition. Find out more about this weekend's performance at www.neffa.org
