Bringing a Rock Sensibility to Children's Music

By John Walters on Monday, February 11, 2002.

In the 1980's, Dan Zanes was the guitarist for the Del Fuegoes. Later, when he got married and had a daughter, he realized that he didn't like most of the music for children that was on the market. That launched a second career for the Concord native. Now he's making the children's albums he couldn't find and he's a rising star in family music.
Dan and his Rocket Ship Review will be playing a benefit show for The Friendly Kitchen on Sunday the 17th at the Concord City Auditorium. Info at www.festivalfive.com
