From a Childhood in China to a Life in Ministry

By John Walters on Wednesday, July 3, 2002.

Chandler Gilbert was born in China, where his parents were missionaries. To this day, he goes by the nickname "Tuck"- the name of the riverboat where he was born. He's spent his adult life in the US as a minister, but he says his outlook on life is a result of his early years overseas. He has written a book of essays titled "When I Open My Window".
