Family Violence

UNH researcher Murray Strauss has long contended that women are as physically violent, and sometimes more violent against men than men are against women. Domestic violence victim advocates argue his research is flawed and that men are the primary perpetrators of violence. Will Abbott Nominated To Lead DES

While the executive council says it will carefully consider Abbott?s record before rendering judgment?..His chances of being confirmed look good?.And not just because of his long track record as an environmentalist?.He?s also well-known to the GOP controlled council as a loyal republican.

New Hampshire Suffers Record Number of Bad Air Days

From Mt Washington's summit to Hampton's beaches to Pack Monadnock, New Hampshire is suffering from intense heat and prolonged high pollution levels.

Officials at the Department of Environmental Services report this week has seen more bad air days than any time in the past twenty years.

Bob Scott is chief air programs manager at D.E.S.

He tells NHPR's Mark Bevis that it's tough to find a place in the state that's not affected.
