From Polar Exploration to Dr. Seuss

Phil Cronenwett is in charge of the Special Collections Library at Dartmouth College. It's the home of major archives on Robert Frost, polar exploration, musical theatre, and Doctor Seuss. Notable items also include an original copy of Audubon's "Birds of America," and a pair of Daniel Webster's socks that came with a collection of his books and papers. Smith, Sununu Clash Bitterly

The Republican race for U-S Senate has grown more heated. In a bitter debate last night, incumbent Bob Smith and challenger John Sununu repeatedly accused each other of distortions and personal attacks. NHPR's Trish Anderton reports.

Eight Republicans Participate in CD 1 Election Forum

The eight Republicans running in the first Congressional District met last night in Leadership New Hampshire's "Election 2002 Forum" at Saint Anselm College in Manchester. And while the 8 candidates filled out the whole stage, their range on the issues was often limited to well known GOP themes. NHPR's David Darman has more.
