Antarctica in Words and Pictures

Jim Mastro is a scientist, writer and photographer. He used to work for the US Antarctic Program and spent a total of five years- between 1983 and 1997- living on the frozen continent. His book, Antarctca: A Year at the Bottom of the World, explores life in Antartica through words and a lot of unforgettable photographs. Jim talks about the place he calls the most beautiful on earth.
