ArchivesA New Band with Very Deep RootsBy John Walters on Tuesday, June 3, 2003.Two members of the new three member band Twinemen were in Morphine- one of the great alternative-rock bands of the 1990s. That group came to a sudden end four years ago when lead singer Mark Sandman died of a heart attack during a concert. Twinemen is a new venture, but it carries forward the style and spirit of Morphine. Twinemen drummer Billy Conway and singer Laurie Sargent live in Hopkinton. They talk about their careers in music, Billy's time with Morphine, and their new project. |
