Coping with Trauma in Sierra Leone

Most educators agree that it's not easy to teach when your students don't feel safe. That seems to be especially true in a country that's still recovering from a decade of brutal Civil War. That's why
Jennifer White-Baughan
and her husband David Baughan visited Sierra Leone. They wanted to help create a more comfortable learning atmosphere for students who've been on both sides of the aggression there. Jennifer is a trauma specialist and David is a playwright and author with a background in healthcare. We'll talk about their experience in Africa and about David's new book, Sophia's Journey.
