Snowplows Needed in Southern New Hampshire

If you live in southern New Hampshire and had trouble getting around during the recent snowstorms, there may be a reason.

The state of New Hampshire is having a hard time finding snowplowers to clean Interstate 93 and state roads near the Massachusetts border.

A Birdseye View of The Appalachian Trail

Mark Warner has combined his love of nature photography and flying in his new book, The Appalachian Trail: An Aerial View. Over a period of 5 years, Mark captured the natural beauty of the Trail, as seen from the sky. Mark lives in Newcastle, Maine. His photographs have been widely published in outdoor, nature, and boating magazines. He's written two earlier books and he gives outdoor photography classes and workshops. He also restores antique planes. Most of the AT photos in his latest book were taken from two old Piper Cubs he rebuilt.

Taking A Gamble

Once again, gambling is back on the table . It�s a perennial statehouse issue as lawmakers look for new sources of money. Now with a huge state deficit looming, supporters of expanded gambling say this could be the year. But the opposition says their broad coalition is stronger than ever. We'll discuss the pros and cons of gambling, and whether it has any chance of reaching the new governor's desk. Laura is joined by Lou D'Allesandro, Democratic state senator from Manchester, and Jim Rubens, chair of the Granite State Coalition Against Expanded Gambling.
