ME's Governor Proposes Selling Lottery Revenues

New Hampshire's Governor Lynch is not the only New England governor facing deficits.
Next door in Maine, Governor John Baldacci must address a 730 million dollar budget gap.
But Baldacci has offered Mainers a new option.
He's proposed selling off future state lottery profits in return for a big up-front payment.

Harvest- A Year in the Life of an Organic Farm

While Organic foods are enjoying a surge in popularity in grocery stores, the life of the small organic farmer is still a tough row to sough. A new book, Harvest, follows the struggles of Jennifer Megyesi and Kyle Jones at their Fat Rooster Farm. Writer Nicola Smith and Photographer Geoff Hansen capture the endless stream of chores on the farm from raising and slaughtering animals, to harvesting squash blossoms, from putting washed lettuce in the washing machine spin cycle, to bartering for the equipment they need to keep the farm running.
