Wind Power

By Laura Knoy on Tuesday, May 3, 2005.

Some see it as a cheap and pollution free way to generate energy while others see it as an eyesore on the scenery and a threat to birds. We'll look at the pros and cons of wind energy and how it fits into the larger renewable energy picture in New England. Laura's guests are Thomas Kelly, Director of the Office of Sustainability Programs at UNH and Lisa Linowes, a member of Lyman Citizens for the Protection of Gardner Mountain who has held elected and appointed positions on the Windham Planning Board, Capital Planning Board, and Conservation Commission. Nancy Girard, Vice-President of the NH Conservation Law Foundation.
