175 years ago, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church, was founded. It's one of the nation's fastest growing religions and the prophet Joseph Smith had New England roots, born in Vermont and Smith's parents in Gilsum, New Hampshire.
