ArchivesThe Culture of Military AcademiesBy Liz Bulkley on Thursday, May 17, 2007.People who’ve graduated from military academies say it's almost impossible for outsiders to understand the intense cultures within the academy walls. We’ll take a fictional tour of the Air Force Military academy through the work of novelist and former pilot Kim Ponders. Her new book is The Last Blue Mile. We'll also talk with 1984 West Point graduate Marjorie Rudinsky. She was in one of the first West Point classes to accept women cadets. Rudinsky is now a student at Franklin Pierce Law Center. |
