The Community Players of Concord, NH present one of the most lauded Broadway plays in recent years - a laugh out loud comedy by Christopher Durang, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play and the New York Critics' Drama Circle Award. Middle aged siblings Vanya and Sonya, who live a quiet life in the Pennsylvania farmhouse where they grew up and cared for their parents through their old age, endure a surprise visit by their movie star sister Masha (who pays the bills), and her Hollywood boy-toy, Spike. A weekend of sibling rivalry, regret and raucousness ensues, especially when Masha announces her plans to sell the house. Cassandra, the psychic cleaning woman who is often wrong, and Nina, a young, aspiring actress from next door, add to the hilarity as the siblings confront some of the uncomfortable realities of middle age, love and regret in the modern day. Performances February 16 and 17 at 7:30 pm and February 18 at 2:00 pm. For tickets and information, visit www.communityplayersofconcord.org, or contact David Murdo at email@example.com.
