Amy Beach was an extremely accomplished composer at a time when such work was thought to be beyond the capabilities of women. Beach was born in Henniker, NH in 1867 and 150 years later, she is being celebrated with a traveling exhibit curated by the UNH University Museum. The Amy Beach Exhibit will be on display in the Concord Public Library Auditorium for the month of March. A pop-up coffee shop will accompany the exhibit on Monday mornings from 9 - noon for the duration of the show. Enjoy complimentary hot beverages while browsing the photos, musical scores, and stories that represent the life and work of Amy Beach. And, a live performance of Amy Beach in Words by performer Marie Harris and pianist Adi Rule will take place on Monday, 3/26 at 6pm. Celebrate Women's History Month and Amy Beach with the Concord Public Library.
