Forest Society en Northern Pass Clarifies, Says It Has 99 Percent Of New Coos Route <p>A Northern Pass spokesman said Saturday that the project has 99 percent of the land it needs for the new route through Coos, clarifying remarks made Friday by a company executive.</p><p>During a conference call with analysts Friday Lee Olivier, an official with Northeast Utilities, said:</p><p>“I am pleased to say that we have about 99 percent of that 140-mile right-of-way right now either acquired or we have under agreement. The last essentially one percent we are working through the final details.”</p> Sat, 06 Oct 2012 16:57:35 +0000 Chris Jensen 14313 at Anonymous Donor Provides $150,000 For Project That Would Help Block Northern Pass <p>A donor who asked to remain anonymous has contributed $150,000 to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forest to help it buy a conservation easement at the Balsams resort in Dixville Notch.</p><p>The&nbsp;forest&nbsp;society has a deal with the Tillotson Corp. to buy the easement for $850,000.
