NHPR 2012 Car Raffle Rules and Regulations
Purchase one or more raffle tickets during New Hampshire Public Radio’s Summer Car Raffle and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win one of four great prizes. NHPR’s Summer Car Raffle tickets are $50 each. Odds of winning are based on the number of individuals contributing. Void where prohibited. Open only to legal residents of New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont, 18 or older. Raffle ticket sales begin at 12:01 am on August 5, 2012 and end at 12:00 pm on August 18, 2012. All times referenced for the NHPR Summer Car Raffle are Eastern Time.
ELIGIBILITY:Employees of New Hampshire Public Radio and their immediate family members are ineligible.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing through the utilization of random.org and announced on the air. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of NHPR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner(s) cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner(s) will be selected by random drawing.
EARLY BIRD DRAWING: Purchase a raffle ticket by August 4, 2012 at 12:00 pm and you’ll qualify for an early-bird drawing for $2,000 worth of gas cards, donated by Irving Oil. Participants in the early-bird drawing are automatically entered in the grand prize drawings. Winner of the gas cards will be selected in a random drawing through the utilization of random.org. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of NHPR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing.
PRIZES:Grand prize is a choice of a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid (value: $27,664), or a 2012 Toyota Prius Hybrid 3 (value: $25,063) donated in part by Grappone Automotive Group. Second prize is a men’s or women’s Trek 7100 bicycle and a Yakima Roof Rack System with one bike attachment (value: $1,040) donated by S&W Sports. Third prize is a Necky Manitou 13 Kayak (value: $850) donated by Portsmouth Kayak. NHPR reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value in the event of the unavailability of a prize.
GENERAL: By entering the raffle, participants agree that New Hampshire Public Radio, their agents and employees have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the raffle. Prizes must be taken within two months from the date of award. Contributions are not tax deductible. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. No substitutions for a prize. New Hampshire Public Radio may use winners’ names and likenesses for publicity purposes without further compensation.
IMPORTANT CAR INFORMATION: Upon selection of car by the winner, winner can choose a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid, or a 2012 Toyota Prius Hybrid 3 available on the Grappone Auto lot in Concord, NH. Winner must choose car September 30, 2012.
TAX OBLIGATIONS: All appropriate taxes and expenses as a result of winning this prize are the winner's responsibility. For any prize valued at $600 or more, an IRS form 1099 with the above stated value will be sent to winner at year-end. Winner will be required to submit to NHPR IRS Form W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification). Winner of the car will be required to pre-pay taxes to New Hampshire Public Radio prior to September 14, 2012. Taxes are 25% of the fair market value of the chosen car, minus the amount of ticket purchase.
RESTRICTIONS:By participating in the NHPR Summer Car Raffle, a participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and by all decisions of the contest judges.
