Berlin at a Crossroads / Early Poll Numbers
By Shay Zeller on Thursday, May 4, 2006.
The city of Berlin loses its largest employer this weekend when the Fraser Pulp Mill shuts down. Now community planners have a lot to consider as they create a new economic model for the city. We'll talk to a researcher who studies industrial towns that are adapting to a post-industrial world. Our guest is Mark Davidson, visiting assistant professor and post-doctoral research associate at Dartmouth College. Later in the show, we'll check in with Pollster Andy Smith about the earliest numbers in the races for congress and governor. Andy is director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. He says the second congressional district race is closer than most people might have thought. Post a comment
