I just wanted to post a comment about a remark that James Pindell made on this morning's airing of the Exchange. He said quote, "People who watch NASCAR will not be watching the debates". I take extreme offensive to this. As an educated person who has been following the debates as well as all aspects of the 2008 Presidental Race, I also enjoy watching NASCAR.

What seemed to be implied by Mr. Pindell's comment was that people who watch NASCAR are not as intelligent as those who do not, therefore would not pay attention to important events such as a Presidential Debate. I think that is a very ignorant remark to make, and while I understand that his views do not reflect the views of NPR as a whole, it amazes me that a guest would say such a thing.
