Democratic Presidential contender Dennis Kucinich, a long shot in the New Hampshire Primary, paid a visit to the Portsmouth Navy Yard.

NHPR Correspondent Roger Wood reports.

Web resources:

The Navy Yard was one of several New Hampshire stops for the Ohio Congressman.

After a tour of the facility, Dennis Kucinich asserted that, if elected, he would cancel the North American Free Trade Agreement and withdraw from the World Trade Organization.

Kucinich says the goal is to restore American manufacturing.

"Restore our industries to their strength and start selling American products around the world again, as we used to before NAFTA, before we got into the WTO."

Kucinich, who finished sixth in the 2004 New Hampshire primary, is also pushing a trillion dollar public works program to repair the nation's bridges, rail, water systems and other parts of the infrastructure.

He did not say how he would pay for the program.
