New York Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton

By Laura Knoy on Thursday, October 11, 2007.

Senator Hillary Clinton appeared on The Exchange. Comparatively, the New York Democrat has taken more moderate positions on foreign policy, trade, and gay marriage, and is touting her experience as a Senator and former First Lady. We’ll talk with Senator Clinton about Iraq, her newly-released health care plan, and lessons learned in the White House.

To Hilary Clinton: You have

To Hilary Clinton:

You have my full support and vote for the general election in 2008, but for the NH primary, I have another idea.

Would your chances to win in '08 improve if I, an "Undeclared" party voter, voted for the least-likely-to-win Republican canditate in the primary election?

Would like to see a question regarding the Senator's position on "signing statements.": These have been used by Presidents to limit the legislation passed by the Congress and signed into law by the President.

A Question for Mrs.

A Question for Mrs. Clinton:

I hear constantly from you and Mr. Clinton how our country is part of a "Global Economy."
I never hear you talk about improving the U.S. economy.
Why are none of the Democratic Candidates talking about bringing the jobs back to America; or, trying to find ways to convince American Corporations to stop outsourcing our jobs.
Are the Lobbyists controlling our Senators and Congressman so much now that the Americxan people just don't count....until electiion time rolls around again!
Laura, please ask Mrs. Clinton these questions and try to get an answer with some substance. THANKS

Hilary Clinton has been my

Hilary Clinton has been my choice since the very beginning of her presidential aspirations. The time for a woman to be president has come. I would not vote for a woman, however, just because she is a woman, but Hilary Clinton is not just any woman. She is:

dramatically intelligent,
understanding of the many issues facing Americans at all economic levels,
knowledgeable about foreign affairs,
measured and thoughtful in her responses,
not afraid to change her mind when it is important to do so,
politically seasoned and
well respected by senators on BOTH sides of the aisle (many of whom were taken by surprise that she was, indeed, someone who would earn and did earn their respect)
she is the only candidate that the Republicans fear running against

and as a woman who worked fulltime from 1968 to 2003, brought up three very successful children, managed household finances, crises, etc., as well as being a supportive wife to a very busy husband, I see the strength that Hilary Clinton exhibited in order to keep her family intact. Chelsea Clinton is a tribute to her mother.

No issue or political adversary is going to "throw" her.
Many of the democratic candidates are espousing ideas that she has generated and supported for many years.
She is her own person. She has my vote.
