Here is a queswtion about

Here is a queswtion about health care:

Only one of the democratic candidates is talking about universial health care via a single payer system. That is, getting the for-profit insurance industry out of our health care business.

My question is, since we already have universal single payer health care in America (called "socialism" by the republicans to scare people) for seniors (medicare) and the poor (medicaid) and veterans, and most importantly and critically, for every single member of Congress, including the President, why is universal single payer health care not good enough for the rest of us and why aren't you standing up for us in advocating for that kind of a system?
Thank you.

Hi During the AG

Hi
During the AG confirmation hearing of Mukasey (sp?) the nominee said words to this effect:

"When it come to National ecurity, the President can ignore the law."

Will Richardson disavow this thinking and perhaps submit legislation to state that the President is not above the law?
Much was made about the nominees statement regarding water boarding. But now the Senate - as a legislative body - let this noiminee go thru . . . . Illegal searches? What illegal searches? The President says that National ecurity is at stake . . .
