And music reviewers around the country are adding her debut album to their "best-of" lists. Jesca Hoop is making a splash, that's for sure. I think what's interesting about Jesca is that any search for her on the internet will yield information about her "strict mormon upbringing" - though I find little of this in her music.
This is truly something different. Not yet foreign but certainly never done before. Really great stuff.
