By Laura Knoy on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
Following 48 states and several territories, Montana and South Dakota will be the final two to vote for the Democratic and Republican nominees for president. I am extremely upset and impatient with the women of this country who are saying if they can't vote for Hilary they are going to vote for McCain. It reminds me of a young child who says, if I can't be first I am going to take my toys and go home. I wish they would wake up and stop being angry and think about what they are saying, and what they are doing to the nation by being so angry. I am a woman voter, and although I too would like to see a woman for President someday, I want what is best for the people and I don't see that in Hilary and Bill. I support Obama, who I believe is the best person for the job. I hope that people will come around and start working for the good of our nation instead of being angry and vindictive.
I recall hearing something last year, I think on the exchange, about NH defying the DNC and holding a primary other than as instructed. I believe NH was told that the delegates would not be seated because of this breech in party rules. At the convention, all held their breath until it was announced that, in fact, the NH delegation would be seated and all votes fully counted. Does anyone have information on this? Year? What caused the issue?
