Sununu Elected Chairman of State GOP
By Josh Rogers on Saturday, January 17, 2009.
The former Governor takes aim at Lynch and predicts 2010 Republican resurgence. John H. Sununu used his acceptance speech to call for hard work by party members, and to lay into Democrats for, as he put it, ruining the state. Governor Lynch bore the brunt of the criticism. Sununu said Lynch's adminstration has been an abject failure at managing the state’s finances, or in standing up to what he called the liberal democratic leadership in Concord. "The Governor has been unable or unwilling, or incapable of moving his own legislature." Sununu added that Lynch may say the right things when it comes to opposing sales and incomes taxes, but doesn't understand that adhereing to the pledge also entails reining in speeding. "This is not Massachussets. This is the state of New Hampshire, and we want to preserve those values for our kids and grandchildren" In a statement, State democratic chairman Ray Buckley congratulated Sununu for taking over at a time when Democrats outnumber Republicans in party registration, hold 3 of New Hampshire'e 4 seats in Congress, the corner office, and majorities in the House, Senate and Executive Council. comments

I believe that Mr. Sununu needs to remember that residents of the majority of New Hampshire residents are aware of which state they live in.
