Global Voices: ICC and Sudan, Blogging From Prison

Last week the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Sudanese president Omar Al’Bashir for genocide and crimes against humanity. It's the first time such charges have been made against a standing head of state. Al’Bashir responded by expelling aid workers in Sudan, declaring them to be thieves and spies. What will this mean for those people already living on the edge in Sudan’s beleaguered Darfur region, or for those already displaced?

These questions are being discussed in the international media. But how about in Darfur and in the Sudan? For that, and more, we turn to Deborah Dilley. She’s a writer and editor for Global Voices Online, which tracks conversations taking place on blogs across the world.
