Green Modular Classrooms

When schools get too crowded, districts often put extra students in modular classrooms. They’re a quick, cheap solution, but some architects say they get a bad rap. New green modular classrooms provide added energy efficiency and savings, and teachers say they’re option worth reconsidering, even on a permanent basis.

One school district in New Hampshire is debating whether to construct one of their own. Word of Mouth correspondent Sheryl Rich-Kern visited a green modular classroom in Massachusetts to see what all the fuss is about.
