Too Many Books

Big pile of books

If you love to read, you certainly have plenty of options these days. We spoke last week about new e-book titles. Today more physical, paper and binding books are published than every before. More than 173,000 titles hit the shelves last year - a staggering number. And while that may sound like good news to voracious readers, we know at least one book aficionado who says publishers need to cut back on the number of works they release. Her name is Anne Trubek. She’s an assistant professor of rhetoric and english at Oberlin College, she writes about books for Good Magazine, and she joins us now with more.
