Photography has had a very short, but eventful history. A new exhibit at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester called "An Eye for Exploration: Photographs from the Jonathan Stein Collection" covers the first 125 years of photography. Jonathan Stein is a Seacoast resident and has been collecting photographs since the 70s. It's the first time they've been displayed for the public to see. The exhibit is especially rich in early landscapes and includes some of the first images of the American West and other parts of the world. There are also works by 20th century masters like Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter. Jonathan and Currier curator Andrew Spahr talk about their historical significance and their value as art.
