In 1940, the rural farming community of Goshen, New Hampshire numbered 342 citizens. The town sent 45 men and 1 woman to the Second World War. The new documentary Stories from Silence, Witness to War illuminates the powerful, private experiences of these veterans. Director Deborah Scranton van Paassen is a Goshen native.
The film is being shown as part of the Somewhat North of Boston Film Festival (S.N.O.B.) which runs November 6-9 at NHTI in Concord.
