College-aged students are often considered apathetic towards the political process. But last week one thousand first time voters descended on Manchester to participate in a convention on issues important to them. They have been seriously affected by 9-11, and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and may take those concerns to the polls in 2004. We?ll find out what motivates these 18-24 years olds and how their votes might effect the upcoming elections. Laura's guests are Tom Patterson, professor of government and the press at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Wayne Lesperance, political science professor at New England College, Guillermo Cornado, student at Harvard University, and Laena Salin, student at St. Anselm College. Other guests are TBA.
