The Land of War Elephants

Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India are all in the news constantly these days- often due to violence and unrest. Long before the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the Taliban, and India and Pakistan?s nuclear brinksmanship, Barnard, Vermont resident Matthew Wilson traveled extensively in all of three countries. As a British military officer, he was stationed in Pakistan and took many trips to Afghanistan and India in the late 60?s and early 70?s and returned again in the mid 90?s.
