The Northern Forest is a region stretching from Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean, including parts of 4 states and southern Canada, with 30 million acres of forest and roughly 1 million people. Laura Tam is a program associate with the Northern Forest Center, and the author of their new book, "At Home in the Northern Forest," which explores the forest's identity in the words of its residents.
