Alexandra Urbanowski

Alexandra has directed NHPR’s fundraising and marketing departments since 2009.   She joined New Hampshire Public Radio with twenty years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit management and arts administration. A native New Englander, Alexandra spent 20 years in San Jose, California where she served as Chief Operating Officer of American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, an organization promoting civic engagement and philanthropy in that region and, for twelve years, as managing director of San Jose Repertory Theatre, a role which included raising funds for a new performing arts facility and increasing annual contributed revenue from a wide range of sources. In New England she has worked with Facing History and Ourselves and with the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire. Alexandra grew up in New Ipswich, N.H. and is an alumna of Smith College. She is married to theater director John McCluggage and currently lives in Manchester.
