20+ People Indicted on Heroin Trafficking Charges in N.H.

Oct 26, 2016

Federal authorities say more than 20 individuals have been charged with trafficking or conspiring to traffic heroin in New Hampshire – four are New Hampshire residents.

Most of those charged are from over the border in Lawrence and Haverhill Massachusetts.  Three are from Manchester and one from Raymond.

U.S. Attorney Emily Rice applauds the large drug bust – stressing that cutting off the supply is key in tackling the drug epidemic.

In a statement issued Wednesday Rice said part of the solution is prosecuting individuals "who profit off the addiction of others.”

Multiple federal, state and local agencies were involved in the investigation.

Because more than one kilogram of heroin was seized some of these defendants could face a life sentence if convicted.
