Hillary Clinton and the Black Vote
While many on the left are already treating Hillary Clinton as the presumptive democratic nominee for President, there are segments of the democratic base that she’ll have to win over first. Among them, African Americans. April Reign is a lawyer and contributor to Ebony magazine, where, in a recent article, she asks “Is Hillary ‘Ready’ For Black Voters?”

Terence Blanchard at the HOP
Terence Blanchard has done a lot of things in his 30-plus years as a jazz trumpeter and composer, he got his chops with veterans Lionel Hampton and Art Blakey, and has gone on to record more than 20 albums, score 50 films, compose for Broadway, an opera, and a requiem written in part for Spike Lee’s HBO documentary, When The Levees Broke.
Terence has a new album out called “Breathless” and is performing on a double bill with Ravi Coltrane at the HOP at Dartmouth College on Friday April24th.
