The state Attorney General’s office is investigating several new complaints against former New London Police Chief David Seastrand.
This comes after he stepped down following a complaint last month.
Assistant Attorney General Jane Young says she can’t go into detail about what the new complaints allege while the investigation is ongoing.
“We have received additional complaints from women regarding the conduct of the former chief.”
David Seastrand resigned as New London Police Chief last week and gave up his certification as a police officer.
An initial complaint was filed on March 6. That’s when a Colby-Sawyer College student claimed Seastrand told her he would drop her underage drinking charge if she posed nude for photographs.
The attorney general’s office announced his resignation last week and said they would not pursue criminal charges.
An attorney for the woman who filed the first complaint says she is considering a civil suit.
