Battling Bullying (Rebroadcast)
Although long an unfortunate part of childhood, many feel it’s become more serious and more complicated, given expanded opportunities through the internet and social media. But there’s also more scrutiny, tougher policies, and anti-bullying campaigns out in force. We’ll get the latest from Granite Staters involved in this issue.
- Malcolm Smith- Associate Professor of Youth and Family Education and Policy at UNH. He developed the Courage to Care anti-bullying program and worked on the state’s anti-bullying law, which passed in 2010.
- Jeff Frigon- An educator with the Youth & Student Program at the Browne Center, a teaching, training, and research center at UNH.
- Carol Croteau- Co-founder of Bully Free New Hampshire, a grassroots organization committed to bully awareness, prevention, and intervention in New Hampshire schools. The mother of a child who was bullied in high school, she also worked on the state’s anti-bullying law, which was passed in 2010.
