Farmington School Board officials say they shouldn't have to foot the bill for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's visit to the southeastern New Hampshire town.

Foster's Daily Democrat reports Farmington selectmen requested payment from the school board after the Trump campaign failed to reimburse the town for $9,500 in costs associated with a Jan. 25 rally.

Town Administrator Arthur Capello says he sent an invoice to the campaign on Feb. 11 for providing security and traffic details for the event, but has not heard back.

Business Administrator Laurie Verville says a January email from Trump's camp stated the campaign doesn't deal with the police aspect of security.

School Board Chair Joel Chagnon says there's been a misunderstanding that the rally was a school event, but it wasn't.
