And now a quick shout-out to "Game Of Thrones" fans. No spoilers, I promise. If you're among the millions of viewers who tune into the HBO series each week, despite the horrifying death its main characters keep suffering, you're going to love this. George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books the series is based on, is fundraising for a couple of his favorite charities, the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and the Food Depot of Santa Fe, New Mexico. For $20,000, you can have a character named after you in a future Martin novel. And he promises your character will certainly meet a grisly death. If that price tag seems high, in a Youtube video, Martin revealed these added deal sweeteners.
