Gorham Man Charged With Kidnapping Abigail Hernandez

NH Attorney General

Investigators say they’ve arrested a 34-year-old Gorham man in connection with the disappearance of North Conway teen Abigail Hernandez.

The Attorney General’s office said Monday that NathanielKibby was arrested earlier in the day at his home and charged with one count of felony kidnapping.

He’s accused of kidnapping Hernandez on Oct. 9 of last year and confining her "with a purpose to commit an offense against her."

Hernandez returned home last week, after she went missing for nine months.

Investigators say they’ve been working around the clock to get to the bottom of what happened to Hernandez.

They say details that Hernandez provided about her kidnapping led to Monday’s arrest.

Kibby will be arraigned Tuesday in Conway District Court.
