Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel is resigning. He is leaving the administration amid reports that President Barack Obama is dissatisfied with Hagel’s leadership as the Pentagon deals with multiple foreign policy problems, including the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
Also, negotiators gave up on efforts to agree on a nuclear deal to curb Iran’s nuclear program by today’s deadline, but the deadline has been pushed down the road to July 2015.
