Hearings Planned On Draft Of N.H.'s 10-Year Highway Plan

Public hearings are being held around the state over the coming weeks on a draft of New Hampshire's 10-year highway plan.

Hearings began last week in Charlestown and continue Monday in Andover and Meredith. A total of 25 hearings will be held through Oct. 21 to give the public an opportunity to comment on the plan which updates the state's construction priorities. The plan is the result of several months' work by communities, regional planning agencies and state transportation officials.

The Governor's Advisory Commission on Intermodal Transportation will later make a recommendation on the plan to the governor who will make a recommendation to lawmakers.

The commission is comprised of the five executive councilors and the transportation commissioner.
