Hot Temperatures On The Way For The Weekend

New Hampshire got its first taste of summer on Thursday, and temperatures are expected to climb into the nineties over the weekend.

In a week that started with snow in the Northern part of the state, temperatures are now summer-like.

The warm weather was welcomed by sisters Eliza and Carrie Kissick of Hopkinton. Both are camp counselors, and are eager to get out on the water.

“I’m so excited to be swimming again; it’s been so long. Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont, we actually go to Camp Aloha, and we both love kayaking there, and that’s how we stay cool.  Rye Beach, we go surfing at Rye.”

Those headed to the beach may want to be careful; because of the heat surge, the NH Department of Environmental Services has issued an alert for unhealthy air pollution levels for Friday and Saturday in Rockingham, Hillsborough, and Merrimack Counties.
