Model and television host Janice Dickinson is the latest woman to publicly accuse comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault. She is one of a number of women to spark a firestorm of reaction to decades-old rape allegations against the comedian.

Cosby’s lawyer has denied the claims as “discredited allegations,” but networks and content producers are on guard.

Netflix has decided to shelve a Cosby stand-up special to commemorate his 77th birthday. NBC is facing mounting pressure to can a sitcom project in the works with Cosby.

NPR’s David Folkenflik spoke with Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson and Peter O’Dowd about media crisis control and how companies have responded to similar cases in the past (think Woody Allen and Martha Stewart).
