Updated Tuesday at 4:48 PM

State and local authorities are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the disappearance and reappearance of 15 year old Abigail Hernandez.

Yesterday Attorney General Joe Foster announced that Hernandez had been safely reunited with her family, nine months after she went missing after leaving Kennett High School in Conway.

The police are asking that if anyone saw Abigail Hernandez or a female wearing the clothing and drawstring bag in the attached photos in the area of North South Road, Sunday evening between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. to contact the State Police at (603) 271-3636 or the Conway police at (603) 356-5715.

Authorities have released no details on where she has been, but say they have been conducting interviews and reviewing surveillance video in the area near Hernandez’s home as part of their investigation. They’ve also asked anyone who may have seen Hernandez or another woman carrying a National Guard drawstring bag in Conway late Sunday evening to contact police.

Law enforcement officials, including the Attorney General’s office, the FBI, the State Police and the Conway Police Department say they  will issue no further updates until they have “a comprehensive understanding of the facts surrounding Hernandez’s disappearance and nine month absence.”

The Hernandez family has asked for privacy.

The Attorney General's office reports 15-year-old Abigail Hernandez was reunited with her family Sunday evening.  The North Conway teen had been missing since October of last year.

In a statement this afternoon, Attorney General Joe Foster said the investigation into her disappearance continues, and that authorities will release details about her whereabouts when it’s determined that doing so will not compromise that investigation.

Foster’s statement quotes Hernandez’s mother, Zenya Hernandez, as saying “today we are the happiest people on earth.”
