McDonalds To Phase Out Chicken Raised With Antibiotics

McDonald’s has announced that its U.S. restaurants will only source chicken raised without antibiotics used in humans. The fast food giant also says it will offer some milk products without rBST, an artificial bovine growth hormone.

Sam Oches, editor of QSR magazine, which covers the quick service and casual restaurant industry, tells Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson that this is an inevitable move for the struggling company, and other fast food restaurants are likely to follow suit.
